Warranty Claim Information


If you purchased a product from us and feel the item is defective, we are here to help you navigate the warranty claim process.  Please read the information below.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at admins@americasmattressclt.com. Please include your name, phone number, and invoice number (if you have it).  We are usually able to respond within 2 business days, if not sooner.  If you do not have access to email, please call Customer Service at 980-258-1121.  When leaving a message, please include your name, invoice number if you have it, and a brief description of your concern. 

 

WHAT IS GENERALLY COVERED BY A MATTRESS WARRANTY?

While there may be some differences from manufacturer to manufacturer, here are a couple  items that may be covered for your mattress.  Refer to the manufacturer’s warranty for detailed items.

  • Sagging or body impressions that measure over a certain depth. The measurement must be done when no one is lying on the mattress.  Depending on the brand and type of mattress, the limit is usually ¾” or 1 ½”. 
  • For innerspring or hybrid mattresses, wires that are loose, broken, or protruding through the fabric.

 

WHAT IS GENERALLY EXCLUDED FROM A MATTRESS WARRANTY?

Here are a few items that are NOT covered for your mattress.  Refer to the manufacturer’s warranty for detailed items.

  • Transportation and inspection fees.
  • Comfort Preference.
  • A change in softness or firmness.
  • Damage due to an inappropriate foundation or when an incorrect bedframe is used.
  • Stains on your mattress can void your warranty.

WHAT PRODUCTS HAVE A WARRANTY AND WHO PROVIDES IT?

  • For new products, the warranty is always provided by the manufacturer.
  • Floor model, closeout, and sanitized mattresses purchased prior to 3/19/21 do not have a warranty, unless you purchased an extended warranty. Review your invoice or contact us if you are unsure if you purchased the extended warranty.
  • Floor model, closeout, and sanitized mattresses purchased on 3/19/21 or later have a 10-year, prorated warranty provided by our company, not the manufacturer.
  • Floor model or closeout foundations and adjustable bases do not have a warranty, unless you purchased an extended warranty at the time of sale. Review your invoice or contact us if you are unsure if you purchased an extended warranty.
  • Accessory warranties are provided by the manufacturer. These include pillows, sheets, mattress protectors, etc.

 

HOW DO I FILE A WARRANTY CLAIM?

Before filing a claim, it is important that you read the manufacturer’s warranty information to ensure you understand what defects are covered by the warranty.  Warranty details can be found on the manufacturer’s website.

Some manufacturers require the customer to submit the claim directly to them.  Other manufacturers allow us to process the claim.  Either way, we’ll help you through the process.

Floor model, closeout, and sanitized mattresses purchased on 3/19/21 or later.

 

Please note these important details:

  • If you have moved and are no longer in our normal delivery area, you will need to contact the manufacturer directly. We can only process claims in our area.
  • You must have the law tag that is attached to your mattress or foundation. If you have discarded the law tag, your warranty is voided and you cannot file a claim.
  • Most claims will require an in-home inspection performed by a third-party inspection company.
  • The cost of the inspection is $69 and must be paid before a claim is submitted (inspection fees are not covered by the warranty).
  • Once the claim is submitted, the inspector will contact you to set a date for your inspection. They usually contact you within a week or so, but times can vary.
  • During the inspection, the inspector will take measurement and photos to include with the inspection report. Please note that the inspector cannot make a determination of Pass/Fail.
  • The report is sent to us a few days after the inspection. Once we review the report, we will contact you with the results.  A representative from our company will make the final determination of Pass/Fail.
  • If the item is determined to be defective, we will help you select a replacement item.

 

If your brand and item is listed below, you must contact the manufacturer directly.  Please note this does not apply to floor model, closeout, or sanitized items.  You will need to have a copy of your invoice.  If you are filing a claim for a mattress or foundation, you will also need information from the law tag attached to your item.  If you have removed and discarded the law tag, most manufacturers will void the warranty and will not allow you to file a claim.
